Retirement & IRMAA Review
Your Medicare premiums, your Social Security timing, and your long-term care exposure are all driven by the same thing: your retirement income. This private review looks at all three together — so a good decision in one place doesn't quietly cost you in another.
What we review
Four questions, one sitting
Your IRMAA exposure
Medicare premiums aren't one price — your income from two years ago sets an income-based surcharge called IRMAA on Parts B and D. We look at where your income lands, and flag the decisions (Roth conversions, asset sales, RMDs) that can quietly push you over a threshold.
Your two clocks
Medicare enrollment has a deadline around 65; Social Security can wait until 70 — they're separate decisions. We map your personal windows around your full retirement age so neither clock costs you money.
Your long-term care risk
Medicare generally doesn't pay for long-term custodial care. We look at what a care event would mean for your savings, and walk through traditional and hybrid coverage options that protect what you've built.
Your Medicare fit
Advantage vs. Supplement vs. Part D, checked against your doctors, prescriptions, and travel — and re-checked every fall as plans change.
Education, not investment advice — we don't manage money or tell you when to claim. For advanced planning cases we work alongside licensed retirement-planning partners, and we're glad to coordinate directly with your financial advisor, CPA, or attorney.

Good questions
Before you book
Who is the Retirement & IRMAA Review for?
Retirees and near-retirees who have meaningful retirement income or assets — pensions, IRAs and 401(k)s, rental income, or a business sale on the horizon — and want their Medicare decisions coordinated with that bigger picture instead of handled in isolation.
What is IRMAA?
IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) is an income-based surcharge added to Medicare Part B and Part D premiums for higher-income households, based on your tax return from two years ago. Current thresholds are published at medicare.gov and ssa.gov. Crossing a threshold by even one dollar triggers the full surcharge tier — which is why income timing matters.
Is this financial or investment advice?
No. We are licensed insurance agents, not financial advisors — we don't manage investments or tell you when to claim Social Security. We show you how the pieces interact, and for advanced planning cases we work alongside licensed retirement-planning partners and your own advisor, CPA, or attorney.
What does the review cost?
Nothing. Insurance companies pay our fee if you ever choose a policy through us, so the review costs you nothing and carries no obligation.
What should I have ready?
Your most recent tax return (IRMAA is based on income from two years ago), your Social Security statement — free at ssa.gov/myaccount — and a rough list of your retirement income sources. The short intake form you complete when booking lets us prepare your personalized analysis before the call.
Current IRMAA thresholds and premium figures are published by the federal sources: Medicare.gov — costs and ssa.gov — Medicare premiums. Education only — we do not offer every plan available in your area.
